I'm alright, no big deal. Ok. I have to sum it up. Crap. I mean, that's not the summary. I was just expressing the frustration I felt. Um...that(um) big tag word I was told I used in a speech class I took in college. Professor was ruthless. She had the class write down tag words- y'know words that people use in between other words, like y'know and like.. like on index cards and THEN if that wasn't pretty awful enough, she had the class keep tally marks of how often in a two minute or 5 minute or it had to have been longer, speech, the tag word was repeated....thirteen times I used um. Totally blew my mind. I wasn't crazy about the topic of the speech, so I think I was stalling or something. Just being honest- summing it up. "The Skinny" default is funny.

ok so i'm just going to agree with the half billion other people on here and say i hate writing about myself because really this is the stuff conversations are built on, but since it's required here we go. i love my friends and try to surround myself with people in my life that are positive influences in one way or another. it's cool because each of my friends brings something to the table that is unique. i love my brother and his family including my 12 year old nephew cody and twin 1 year old nephews gavin and ayden. they're are like my own kids and so much fun...and i love spoiling them! i like to go out to coffee shops for good conversations. i also like to go to the bars from time to time, although i am finding that as i'm getting older i like to local smaller bars better than the clubs atmosphere wise. i like to go to the parks or the lake and be outside when the weather is nice. i also like spending down time at home when possible just relaxing and watching a dvd or reading. i'm trying to find my way back to church in the united church of christ. it's just nice to find a church with a little more of a liberal viewpoint that isn't too judgemental of things. i like watching football and baseball mostly out of any sports...i'm a browns fan from birth and have recently become a colts fan from my time in indiana.

ultimately i am looking for a guy that i can truly be "partners" with. someone that we can share each others interests and be a part of and yet have seperate interests and our own time. i would need someone that can get along with my friends, as i've said before they're a big part of my life. i also would need someone adaptable and understanding (as i would be too!) as my work schedule can get kinda hectic as i do work retail and not a regular 9 to 5 job. the bottom line is i'm pretty easy going so why not say hi and see where things go?

I don't like writing self-descriptive narratives about myself. In my head it makes me sound like of those people that go ON AND ON about themselves. But anyways, hope I can properly summarize myself here. I work unusual hours at a large bank downtown, so I don't get out as much as I want to during the week. But on the weekends I let loose, hanging with friends, up to all sorts of shenanigans. I guess I could be described as the quiet mysterious type. But load me up with some booze, and I've been told I become the social butterfly. My humor could be described as somewhere between dry-cut, self-deprecating and sarcastic.

Hm. What to say... My name's Callan, I'm 20, an artist at heart, very cynical, a bookworm, an out-of-shape athlete, a really terrible "people person" until I get to know you (in which case you just get used to me and I'm probably not any better at it), and a little crazy. well to start i have never been keen on filling these out but here we go. i just recently moved to lakewood to get away from the mind-rot of the suburbs. i live with my great friend erin (a girl) and i am happily employed at a coffee conglomerate. i love music, different kinds for each season its fall now so shout out louds, iron & wine and joni are on repeat. i imbibe a lot of coffee, and i smoke but i am trying to quit, it truly is a disgusting habit. i have never been good at grammar thats while all my best friends are great at it. i love hummus it is like my peanut butter. i am chatty, but love to listen. music is very important to me as is art i value the humanities. my orientation is not how i identify with other people and do not believe that should dictate who you are. if you understand that you will understand me.

What best describes me? I work too much, I spend more time with my dog than I do with my friends. I am cautious to trust, though I really open up to someone I get comfortable with. I can be very very stubborn about things I believe strongly in, though I almost never hold another persons feelings against them. I can be rather introverted, I often seem shy, or disinterested. This is often not the case, it is usually a lack of self esteem or courage that masquerades as such. I really try to avoid large social situations because of those reasons. Being shy is all too often interpreted as some sort of negative social malady. I however am rather comfortable with it, though I guess not by choice, just by happenstance. Fact is I am often more comfortable with staying in rather than going out.

I'm a kind and gentle guy who's totally loyal and dependable. But I'll tell it like it is, though, and I don't like to put up with anyone's bullshite. I'm trying this thing out because right now, having moved relatively recently to the Cleveland area, my social network is a little isolated. Help me to open it up and have some fun at the same time. I'm getting over the notion that on-line dating is weird, but it's hard to meet good people at the bar.

I totally love music, especially indie rock. So if you've heard of and/or enjoy bands like Deerhoof, The National, Wolf Parade, Neutral Milk Hotel, Arcade Fire, etc then you've got a leg up, but I listen to almost anything. I love going to live shows, and smaller venues are even more fun. I even do the symphony! I'm a huge college football fan. I went to the University of Michigan, so my allegiance is obviously not the right one to have in this town, but I like some good-natured trash talking nonetheless. Also, the Detroit Pistons are awesome. I like movies and traveling. I have an instinctive need to be out in the sunshine near a body of water, so that makes Cleveland great in the summertime.
